Born and raised between the Tijuana–San Diego border, Regina has always liked to say she had the privilege of living in the best of both worlds. Sort of like Hannah Montana, she woke up for school in Mexico, crossed the border every morning with her carpool, went to school in San Diego, read U.S. history textbooks, then returned home to eat caldo de pollo, mole, and speak only Spanish at the dinner table. She likes to say she has literally lived the same amount of life, memories, and experiences in Mexico as she has in the U.S., and both halves have shaped who she is today.

Since the day she could speak, Regina has been full of questions. Her mom was always surprised by the type of curiosities that popped into her head. Growing up with five sisters, (including a twin!) all incredibly creative, artistic, and musical, Regina was surrounded by imagination. Their home was always full of singing, dancing, often watching "The Sound of Music" and singing along to the songs for fun.

Her sisters each went out into the world in the most authentic, daring, passionate ways, and as the youngest, Regina found inspiration and drive in watching them. They taught her the importance of immersing yourself in what you love and working hard for the things you want.
Regina has carried that curiosity with her ever since. She loves learning, asking why, understanding how things work, and bouncing ideas around with teammates who inspire creative conversation. One topic that struck her early on was communication... more specifically, people; what they like, why they like it, how they react, what moves them.

When she entered USD as a Marketing major in the School of Business, she realized how much strategy and intention actually live behind those reactions. She loved the idea that people connecting with a brand or product is never a coincidence, that entire teams think through every detail to create those moments. So Regina decided to double major in Communications and Marketing. She hasn’t looked back. She has loved every moment, every class, and the structure her learning has brought to her passions.
Today, Regina is excited to continue pursuing this path and creating work that feels meaningful to the human experience. Whether it’s a product, a service, or a brand people connect with, she believes every touchpoint matters. Every detail in the customer journey, every story, every strategy, every spark of insight contributes to making someone’s day even a little bit easier, more joyful, more connected, more exciting. And to her, if what she creates can do that, even in the smallest way, then it matters.
